Ya know Talon, I actually agree with you on both points here.
First off, as far as locals go, I wish we could have had one too. But AJJ played for an hour and a half and the two supporting bands played about 30 minutes each. The show started at 8 PM. To add a local the show would have had to start at 7 PM.
Secondly, when I submitted my offer to AJJ's agent for this tour the supporting bands weren't established yet and Cheap Girls, Direct Hit! and Hop Along were some of the bands being considered as supporting acts. Now, the first leg of this tour featured Cheap Girls & AJJ, which I would argue is worth a $15 ticket for sure. So on the second leg when I was told that two bands that weren't even being considered initially, and bands that I didn't even know, (but both are really good.....esp. Hard Girls) were going to be supporting, I agree....$12 adv/$15 dos does seem a bit much for a ticket. Wouldn't it have been rad if it was Andrew Jackson Jihad, Hop Along & Cheap Girls? That's the line-up I was hoping for! Unfortunately there are only so many things that I, as a promoter, can control.

What was up with the crowd at this show? Complete lack of show etiquette knowledge. Apparently AJJ shows are always like that?
